WildBase adventures are back
Local adventures in July & August to blast away those lockdown blues.
Surrey might not be a place you´d necessarily connect with adventure.
Commuter belt, footballer ghetto and Chelsea tractor perhaps and if we mentioned an event called ‘Surrey Three Peaks’, you'd be excused for conjuring up an image of pinstriped stockbrokers racing up the Guildford Railway Station steps.
We're here to dispel any such notions with the launch of our first post-lockdown adventure.
On July 24th WildBase will indeed be hosting The Surrey Three Peaks and this is our (almost) guarantee of what you will experience ...
What is The Surrey Three Peaks?
Swap your Friday night pub quiz on Zoom for a marathon route hike connecting Holmbury Hill, Leith Hill and Box Hill.
Although close to London, this overnight adventure will detach you completely from the stresses and strains of lockdown Britain.
We start the journey at Friday sunset and go through the night, completing most of the route under the stars. At dawn's first light we stop for coffee before continuing on and up another of the peaks.
With over 1000 meters of ascent and 26.2 miles of walking this is a tough but do-able challenge.
Led by professional local mountain guides, with a friendly support team preparing hot meals and transport, it will be a fantastic way to challenge yourself, explore the magic of our local countryside and start to remove some of the emotional detritus we’ve all endured these last 3 months.
